The July 20th agenda includes a proposed $762,747 pavement-preservation contract and the possible creation of a landfill-closure review group.
These items are scheduled for discussion or possible action Monday evening. They should not be considered approved unless the Board votes.
$762,747 road contract
The Board may authorize the Town Administrator to sign a town-wide pavement-preservation contract with Sealcoating, Inc., doing business as Indus.
The agenda identifies the company as the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The project would be funded through Chapter 90, the state program used for eligible local road work.
Landfill-closure review
The Board may also authorize the Town Administrator to create a review group with the Board of Health.
The group would evaluate landfill-closure options and recommend a closure plan.
Monday’s action would begin the review process. It would not approve a final closure method, cost, or construction plan.
Two upcoming public meetings
A Douty Master Plan Review is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Hall.
MassDOT is also planning a virtual public hearing on the proposed Route 49 and Putnam Road roundabout on Wednesday, August 12, at 7 p.m. A participation link is expected to be posted later.
